When In Need Foundation at Wazobia Radio, Abuja Nigeria
The When In Need Foundation is creating impact in the lives of individuals globally with its Mission of Mercy Program which recently visited Internally Displaced Persons in Abuja, Nigeria. Thanks to Wazobia FM’s team and Lady G for collaborating and helping us spread the word about our Mission. When In Need Foundation’s Founder and CEO, MsChetachi Ecton, Media Director, George Onuorah and Program Coordinator for Africa, Chuckwuma Okere were at Wazobia Radio to share the Mission and Vision of WIN. More than 600 IDPS, a lot of whom were displaced as a result of Boko Haram were treated for various medical conditions which included malaria, high blood pressure, bacterial infection, diarrhea and a host of other ailments. Ms. Chetachi Ecton, CEO of WIN Foundation receives Actor, Danny Glover 2016 Power of the Dream Award
Actor Danny Glover 2016 Power of the Dream award was handed out Monday March 28th at the African Union Headquarters overlooking the United Nations in NYC to some outstanding individuals, trailblazers and change makers. Amongst those honored are Ms. Chetachi Ecton, CEO of WIN Foundation who is singlehandedly self funding the When In Need Foundation www.winfound.org. Inspired by the work of legendary Catholic nun Mother Teresa and imbued with modicum of responsibility at an early age by her very loving parents, she has dedicated her life to helping others especially children and families in need. The When In Need Foundation team has traveled across continents from Africa to South America, Europe to South Asia visiting Orphanages, homeless shelters and hostels, disabled Centers and Abused Facilities donating food and essential medical supplies. Others honored included Nollywood personality Clarion Chukwurah and Queen Mother Dr. Deloise Blakely, the Community Mayor of Harlem. Dr. Monica Sanchez organizer of this event is a very committed community leader who continues to work to empower not only her Caribbean community but all community.
When In Need Foundation to donate Prom Dresses and Gowns to graduating seniors in need.
As part of the When In Need Foundation’s Mission of Mercy Initiative, the organization will collaborate with The Office of State Senator Vincent Hughes and donate elegant gowns and dresses to graduating seniors in need or whose family cannot afford to buy one for them in order to make the event a memorable occasion. This initiative will hold in Philadelphia and New York city. The Prom Dress and Gown Give-Away Initiative – May 16th @ The Please Touch Museum – 3:30pm. When In Need Foundation attends Clinton Foundation 2030 Health Matters Initiative in NY.
On Monday, March 14, The When In Need team joined the Clinton Foundation 20/30 for a reception at the Blueprint Health community workspace in SoHo to take a look at the digital technologies for health work of the Clinton Health Matters Initiative (CHMI) and other exciting innovations in the field. CHMI recognizes the potential of Digital health and innovation as a way of advancing wellness and prevent chronic disease at national, community, and individual levels. The When In Need Foundation will continue to collaborate and promote initiatives that provide tools and resources to help empower people, communities, and organizations to live healthier.
