On November 19th, When In Need Foundation presented educational scholarships to recipients from 4 Philadelphia area Schools at St. Francis De Dales School, John Hallahan Girls Catholic School, City School and The Roman Catholic School at the Enterprise Center in Philadelphia.
The Keynote Speaker at the event was The Honorable Councilwoman Jannie L. Blackwell – 3rd District and Chair, Education Committee who stressed the importance of a getting a good education, with special remarks from Councilman David OH – Minority Whip, Hon. Stanley Straughter and State Rep. Vanessa Brown.
Welcoming guests, Mr. Kayode Malomo, Project Director thanked all the guests for their commitment and stressed the importance of education as a key driver to unlocking human potential. Mr. George Onuorah, Media Director shared some insight into the organization’s global work on education while Mr. Godwin Nwoga introduced the entire team. Ms Chetachi Ecton, Founder and CEO reinforced When In Need’s commitment to supporting students education, in particular, women and children who are the most vulnerable segment of our society.
