Mission of Mercy journeys to Associazione Caf, Milan Italy.
Teamwork, collaboration and continuous effort is the key to unlocking human potential and restoring hope in addition to causing wonderful things to be accomplished.
On Aug 4th, When In Need Foundation team embarked on a Mission of Mercy to Associazione Caf in Milan, Italy led by its CEO, Ms. Chetachi Ecton in continuation of its global mission of mercy extending helping hands globally. This mission was unique as WiN enlisted the team members from Associazione Caf, Emmanuela a…nd Mr. Dario, to join in the fun and at the same time challenging aspect of purchasing the food, supplies and items in the facility’s menu of requests.
CAF center seeks to provide love and support to the 30 children at its facility between the age of 2 and 13 who have undergone lots of trauma due to abuse, by giving them a welcoming and homely place of abode.
Special thanks to CAF Leadership and team members that assisted us immensely in overcoming the language barrier during the shopping and outreach. The highpoint of the visit was when the Associazione Caf team exclaimed, “it was truly an awesome experience!”

Mission of Mercy visits Aurore Women’s Shelter in Paris.
On Friday, July 31, When in Need Foundation team successfully undertook another Mission of Mercy in Paris, the 2nd stop of its four country W.I.N With Mom European philanthropic tour. Aimed at visiting, engaging and donating to orphanages, centers and hostels serving people in need, When in Need Foundation team was led by Founder/CEO Ms. Chetachi Ecton and Media Director George Onuorah, including others team members, Mr. Gaby, Chioma Dunkley and Chinyere Dunkley.
Since 1993, …Aurore Women Homeless Shelter, located within the periphery of Paris has been addressing the issue of homelessness especially in a city famous for her love of arts, culture and history of liberal emancipation. This shelter appropriately called “The Heart of A Woman” has 40 residents, 36 female and 4 couples from various nationalities such as Haiti, Senegal, Russia, Gambia, Central African Republic and Chechnya among others.
When in Need Foundation team was welcomed with much love and warmth by Ms. Angelique Serenge, the facility manager and team members, in addition to lovely rhythms of international music and the smell of various delicacies. Coincidentally, the When In Need team happened to have visited during the Feast Day!
Ms. Ecton expressed her profound gratitude to the administration, staff and residents of the Center for the warm welcome. She shared the vision of WIN Foundation’s mission of mercy aimed at giving back and helping women and children in need, orphans, disabled and homeless individuals. Inspired by the work of Mother Theresa and her upbringing, Ms Ecton shared her personal story of looking after her siblings and family members in addition to balancing a challenging role of constantly helping to solve never-ending-problems and needs in her community. Much needed amenities were donated to the facility by WiN Foundation.

When In Need’s Mission of Mercy visits The Passage in London
Humanity compels us to lend a helping hand and help lift up others who are challenged by life’s adversities.
On Wednesday, July 29 When in Need Foundation team visited The Passage, London’s largest voluntary resource center catering to about 200 men and women on a daily basis under the inspiring leadership of Founder/CEO Miss Chetachi Ecton.
WiN’s Mission of Mercy European tour to London, Paris, Milan and Madrid is a continuation of its global effort to help feed children w…ho are homeless, including orphans and disabled struggling to make it in our world.
The Passage seeks to empower the homeless in transition and transform their lives with support from eight outreach workers who work tirelessly to locate the homeless late at night and sometimes early in the morning. WiN visited the facility’s 40 bed hostel that became operational in 2000 what might be called shelter in the United States and donated food and much needed health and hygiene supplies to the residents.
The Coordinator of the program captured the emotions of the moment on behalf of The Passage with her special Thank You to the When In Need team when she said, “we have never seen anything like this before!”
