JANUARY 15, 2020

The When In Need Foundation held a Hand Washing training to children and young adults on the importance of good hygiene. The training took place in Kwoi, Jaba local government in Kaduna State , Nigeria. Approximately 700 children from ages 5 to 15 participated in the training program.
According to the World Health Organization, millions of young lives could be saved with access to bar soap and hygiene education.
The When In Need Team lead by Franklin Chinedu Okere, educated the children and young adults on the advantages, technics of proper hand-washing, and some infections associated with improper hand-washing such as: Pneumonia and diarrheal disease (the two leading causes of death among children under 5 years old), Conjunctivitis, Respiratory infection, Hepatitis A and Nosocomial infections such as MRSA and E.coli.
We extend our gratitude to Clean World Foundation for their collaboration and partnership towards our efforts in educating many communities around the world in proper Hygiene and saving lives.
The When In Need Foundation through her Mission of Hope continues to empower the communities, one at a time.

FEBRUARY 10, 2020

Celebrating the Humanitarian Day of Action last October, The When In Need Foundation donated food to over a 1000 widows and over a 100 orphans in Jaba community of Kaduna. We gave out bags and boxes of rice, noodles, yam, tomato paste, salt and juice that can feed the community


JULY 8, 2020

The WIN Foundation President Chief Dr Chetachi Ecton distributed seeds to the community farmers and those in need, which will feed over 1.5 million people in Kaduna State, Nigeria. OCTOBER 6, 2020

The When In Need Foundation recently donated relief materials to IDP camps at Zango Kataf LGA, Kaduna State. The team was led by the CEO of When In Need Foundation, Dr. Chetachi Ecton (Tirham) and Hon. Monday Dikko representing the Jaba constituency.
The team also paid a courtesy visit to the Atyap palace and later proceeded to the IDP camp. Speaking at the presentation, Dr. Ecton prayed for peace and a speedy recovery for the displaced families. When In Need continues its mission of supporting the needy and disadvantaged communities in Nigeria.

JUNE 9, 2021

On June 9th, the When In Need Foundation presented educational support scholarships at Lincoln Charter School and York Academy Regional Charter School as part of its education initiative in York, Pa. The awards supports summer creative programs and recognizes academic excellence, selfless service artistic abilities. 2 amazing students were recognized, Nohemi Diaz, 4th grade at Lincoln Charter and Michaelina O’rourke at York Academy. Congrats to the students and a big thank you to Anne Clark, Kate Daniels Carol Alvarnaz, staff, teachers , students and Richard Bailey of LockedIn Magazine for covering the event.

When In Need Foundation recently embarked on a Medical Mission in Abuja Nigeria. Our mission and commitment remain to transform lives and create impact, one individual at a time.


JANUARY 13, 2023

When in need Foundation Foundation recently donated 15 birthday cakes to orphans and children in need in the community, some of whom had never had birthday cakes on their birthdays. It was a heartwarming occasion. Notebooks and other educational materials were also distributed to elementary school children.

NOVEMBER 30, 2024

The Early Christmas Giveaway & Educational Support Initiative, funded by Princess (Dr.) Chetachi Nwoga Ecton, brought hope, joy, and meaningful support to hundreds of people across Nigeria. Through the initiative, 370 vulnerable women received assistance, including 100 market women affected by a devastating fire and 270 widows, comprising civilians, military widows, and police widows. The program also made a significant investment in education by awarding scholarships to 10 primary school students, 10 secondary school students, and 10 young women enrolled in skill acquisition programs, while providing a special university scholarship to a young widow to help her pursue higher education. In addition, 500 notebooks were distributed to students to promote literacy and support learning. Through the When In Need Foundation, Princess (Dr.) Chetachi Nwoga Ecton’s unwavering commitment to education, literacy, and community empowerment continues to transform lives, inspire hope, and create brighter futures for underserved communities.
