Micheal Ambrose: A Mission of Mercy Miracle!
While the When In Need Foundation Port-Harcourt team visited the Saviour’s Orphanage in Port Harcourt this Easter to bring smiles to the faces of the children with gifts of food, clothes and supplies, little Michael at the orphanage was in so much pain. The two and a half year old had been diagnosed with hemorrhoids and needed surgery urgently to survive. Time was ticking fast and he was expected to live only a few extra days. WiN Foundation was determined Little Michael will not die. The WIN Team rushed him off quickly to Chrismade Hospital, paid for his surgery and worked tirelessly with the medical team. The surgery was a success! Michael is now recuperating and in stable condition. He can’t wait to play soccer with his other little friends! Special Thanks to the medical team at Chrismade Hospital and When In Need Foundation for another milestone in its mission of compassion, care, hope, transforming lives and creating impact!

April 3 – When In Need Foundation, Port-Harcourt team continued its Mission of Mercy initiative by donating food items, diapers, supplies and household goods at Saviour’s Orphanage (Land of Blessings) in Rivers State as they put smiles on the faces of the children there this Easter season. When In Need Foundation brings Ray of Hope to Saviour’s Orphanage.
When In Need Foundation, Port-Harcourt team, led by Mr. Darlington Ohaeri today visited the Saviour’s Orphanage (Land of Blessings) in Rivers State in continuation of the foundation’s Mission of Mercy initiative. The children ranging from 8 months to 15 years were so happy to receive the WIN Foundation team! WiN Foundation confirmed that 98% of children at the orphanage were abandoned or picked up by the road side. When In Need will donate much needed food items, diapers, supplies and household goods to the orphanage to brighten the children’s Easter celebration as it forges ahead on its mission of compassion, care, hope, transforming lives and creating impact!
Angelina: A Moving Story From The Shores of The Dominican Rep.
Angelina is a sweet 3 year old who yearns for love and affection like any other child. Unfortunately, she and her sister Angelica were abandoned with no documentation at such a tender age. Luckily, the Dominican rep. based orphanage, Orfanato Niños de Cristo came to their rescue offering them a new home in 2013. Her beautiful and infectious smile immediately caught the attention of When In Need Foundation’s CEO Ms. Chetachi Ecton, during her recent trip to the orphanage Orfanato Niños de Cristo. An obvious bond of friendship was quickly established, as they were both inseparable during the visit. They played and laughed together! When In Need Foundation will now sponsor Angelina’s upkeep that will cover her food, clothing and shelter and continue to play a supporting role in her future. We welcome Angelina into the When In Need family as we continue to forge ahead on our mission of compassion, care, hope, transforming lives and creating impact!
