When In Need Journeys To The Bahamas Children’s Emergency Hostel

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi When In Need Foundation team led by its CEO Ms. Chetachi Ecton, continued its mission of mercy sharing love and servicing others by visiting The Bahamas Children’s Emergency Hostel whose sole purpose is to provide temporary accommodation, food, clothing, medical care and other necessities for the benefit of abandoned and neglected children, until more permanent arrangements could be made for their welfare. When In Need team made sure they put bright smiles on the faces of the children by donating much needed food, supplies and provisions at the facility that houses about 35 children. Special Thanks to the Team at BCEH for their hard work in caring for the children and hospitality. At the end of the day, it’s not about what you have or even what you have accomplished. It is about who you have lifted up, who you have made better. It’s about what you have given back. To support WiN Foundation in its work, please make a donation at www.winfound.org 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

WiN’s Mission of Mercy visits Provo Children’s Home in Turks

When In Need Foundation’s team led by its CEO, Ms. Chetachi Ecton visited the Provo Children’s Home, a residential care facility in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. The home was privately established in March 2006 as a long-term orphanage called Nissi House in Thompson Cove. After Hurricanes Hannah & Ike damaged Nissi House in September 2008, the children and caregivers had to vacate to two different locations temporarily. A group of caring people banded together, led by Tanis Wake-Forbes helped correct that situation by building a 20 bed facility with two emergency placement rooms and caregiver suites to handle any children in need in the country, while trying to keep the facility as a home instead of an institution. When In Need Foundation donated food, household items and much needed supplies to the facility in addition to sharing joys and fellowship with the children and team members at PCH. To be allowed to make a difference in a child’s life is a privilege and one not to take lightly. Special Thanks to Dr. Mills for his assistance, guidance, volunteerism and the entire PCH team. As Tracey said, “We cannot always build the future of our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.” 1 2 3 4 5 6

All the children were elated especially the youngest child named KJ as Ms Esther Parker of the WIN foundation played peek-a-boo with him. In line with her spirit of compassion and her constant motherly love, Ms. Ecton and the WiN Foundation team pledged to give up lunch so that the children will have filling meals instead, at least for a few days. Special Thanks to the Snap Center Team and Dr. Carlton Mills for his over and beyond assistance, guidance, volunteerism in making the visit and trip to Turks and Caicos Island productive, successful and memorable. When In Need team also returned to the facility the next day with goodies and lots of ice cream to cool the children off in sunny weather.
